Wallboard Supply Co acquires Poulin Lumber
11 November 2015US: Londonderry-based Wallboard Supply Co, part of US LBM, has acquired Vermont-based Poulin Lumber. Poulin, based in Derby, Vermont, has supplied building products and hardware to homeowners and contractors since 1936. It has four locations in northern and central Vermont and sells engineered wood and wall panels, gypsum wallboard, insulation, roofing, moulding, windows, doors, fasteners, tools, kitchen and bath cabinetry and fixtures, as well as numerous lines of hardwood and laminate floors.
Cemex sells gypsum wallboard stake
29 September 2015US: Cemex USA, the US subsidiary of the Mexican building materials company Cemex, has signed an agreement for the sale of its gypsum wallboard business based in Florida to US LBM. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The proceeds obtained from this transaction, which Cemex said will not be for a material amount, will be used mainly by Cemex USA's affiliates for debt reduction and for general corporate purposes. Cemex said that the closing of this divestment is subject to the satisfaction of standard conditions for this type of transaction.
The company currently expects to finalise this transaction at any time prior to the end of 2015.
US LBM buys Wallboard Supply Company
27 November 2014US: US LBM Holdings has acquired Wallboard Supply Company of Londonderry, New Hampshire from the Filion family and its investors. President John Filion will continue to lead the company along with Vice President Ryan Filion and all members of the management team.

Wallboard Supply Company is a third generation, family-run business that has operated in New England since 1970. Its product line includes gypsum wallboard, metal framing, insulation, lumber and ceilings. The company has its headquarters in Londonderry, New Hampshire with four locations in Braintree in Maryland in Portland, Maine Hermon in Maine and Williston in Vermont.
