Azerbaijan almost doubles gypsum production in 2023
16 February 2024Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan’s production of construction gypsum increased by 98% year-on-year to 85,000t in 2023, data from the State Statistics Committee has shown. BNI IntelliNews has reported year-on-year growth of 32% in the overall value of building materials produced in Azerbaijan in 2023, to US$694m.
Ak Bulut commissions 4Mm2/yr Dostluk gypsum wallboard plant
20 December 2023Turkmenistan: Ak Bulut has inaugurated its 4Mm2/yr Dostluk gypsum wallboard plant in the Koytendag District of Lebap Region. Trend News has reported that the plant partly runs on solar power, and also produces 50,000t/yr of dry building mixes. Ak Bulut says that it sources the plant's natural gypsum from Koytendag District, and markets its products domestically and in Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.
Azerbaijan: Total national gypsum production was 36,500t during the first half of 2023, according to the State Statistics Committee. This corresponds to a 96% year-on-year rise from first-half 2022 levels.
Yukhari Agjakend gypsum deposit for sale
14 October 2022Azerbaijan: The Yukhari Agjakend gypsum deposit in Goranboy District will go up for sale on 11 November 2022. Offers will be received in an auction held by the Azerbaijan Centre for Organisation of Auctions of the Ministry of Economy's State Service on Property Issues.
Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan’s total production of construction gypsum was 17,100t in the first eight months of 2021, up by 33% year-on-year from 12,900t in the corresponding period of 2020.
On-going large-scale state construction projects the new territories East of Zangazur and Karabakh are anticipated to increase full-year gypsum production in 2021 and into subsequent years.
Azerbaijan records 11-month rise in gypsum production
18 December 2020Azerbaijan: Gypsum producers produced 20,300t of building gypsum in the first 11 months of 2020, up by 2% year-on-year from the same period in 2019. The total value of building products rose by 25% to US$389m, according to the Trend News Agency.
Azerbaijani eight-month gypsum production rises in 2020
16 September 2020Azerbaijan: Gypsum producers achieved a total output of 13,000t of gypsum in the first eight months of 2020, up by 1.3% year-on-year from 12,800t over the corresponding period of 2019. Total building materials production fell by 1.8% in value to US$293m from US$298m.
Azerbaijan: Gypsum producers achieved volumes of 12,100t in the first half of 2020, up by 130% year-on-year from 5250t in the half of 2019. The total value of construction materials sales over the period fell by 4.8% to US$251m from US$264m.
Azerbaijan’s gypsum production down by 5.5% in January 2020
24 February 2020Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan produced 400t of building gypsum in January 2020, down by 5.5% year-on-year from 423t in January 2019. The total value of building materials produced in the country was US$30.8m, up by 35% from US$22.8m in January 2019.
