World: Germany-based Knauf and its insulation subsidiary Knauf Insulation have consolidated their online presence with a new website, knauf.com. The site offers access to the group’s entire product range. Knauf said that the shift is intended to help customers to increase their productivity.

Knauf Ibérica marketing and technical director Pablo Maroto said "This new platform reinforces our commitment to innovation and facilitates access to our solutions at a global level."

Romania: Saint-Gobain Romania has launched the Saint-Gobain National Trophy contest. The contest recognises exceptional projects due for completion by the end of 2024 which incorporate materials supplied by Saint-Gobain Romania. Local press has reported that judges will evaluate projects’ excellence in execution, sustainability and effective utilisation of their incorporated Saint-Gobain products. The company will receive submissions until 31 October 2024.

Canada: CertainTeed Canada has welcomed the Canadian International Trade Tribunal's ruling in favour of six provinces and territories' anti-dumping measures on imports of gypsum wallboard. The tribunal found that imports of gypsum wallboard from the US threatened material injury to the domestic industries of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan and Yukon.

CertainTeed Canada chief executive officer Julie Bonamy said "CertainTeed Canada is committed to free and fair trade; we have helped shape the Canadian building products industry for more than 80 years." Bonamy concluded "We are committed to supporting our customers and employees through our facilities in Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg."

Germany: A cyber attack compromised Knauf's computer systems on 29 June 2022, leading the producer to opt for a complete services shutdown. The group said that its information technology (IT) unit successfully isolated the breach and has launched an investigation.

Knauf thanked customers for their understanding and trust. It said "We are currently working heavily to mitigate the impact to our customers and partners – as well as to plan a safe recovery. However, we apologise for any inconvenience or delays in our delivery processes that may occur."
